The Federations of Aron or the FA is the largest union in Arons history. Consisting of 56 member states in the union it encompasses 87% of the occupied area of Aronians across all colonized systems. The Federations have a population of 32.83 billion with no defined capital to prevent infighting over its location, though a close contender would be Nova, a city of 109.32 million people. Established in 2205, the Federations were a union between some of the most powerful states in Aron. Over time, the centralized nature of such a union began to decay the national identities of Aron. Most in Aron now consider themselves Aronian rather than part of some specific culture group.
The Federation's influence stretches far throughout the Hope and Fate system. The largest colonies are on close planets such as Poree and Sera, however in recent years the newer major colonies on Maiy have been the most attractive, as with the exception of Entactrius, Maiy is the most Aron-like planet in the Hope and Fate system. With the recent construction of orbital facilites to reduce the effects of Hadea's radioactive debris, Maiy has required little terraforming to become habitable for Aronians. Colonies on Chressia and Entactrius used to exist, but have since then become de-facto independent as Aron's loose grip over the Fate system had not yet tightened.
The Federations of Aron formed after the complete and systemic collapse following multiple revolutions across Lucithia, Kifahn, and Enequit leading to the destruction of the last remaining major factions such as the Lucithian Union, Aquita, the Polshka Union, and what remained of Kifahn and Mancharia. This lead to a near Kessler Cascade causing the complete outage of internet across major parts of the developed sectors of Aron.
The Kessler Cascade (Kessler Syndrome) caused the complete outage of most internet across the planet. This made banks desyncronized, completely destroyed global communication, destroyed data, and much more. All of this made the remaining military giants crumble. Everyone including people of higher standing were no longer fighting for sovereignty but were fighting to live. Nobody cared about their own nations anymore, just about surviving.
Soon governments dissolved under the pressure even though major companies continued to function just without government supervision. Soon even the giant megacorporations collapsed under their own weight.
This set the stage for global cooporation. People from all over the globe began to pool resources to try and clean up orbital infrastructure. People from this organization simply recognized themselves as Aronian, and their organization simply called themselves Aron. Soon this organization was spread all across the globe to the point at which nearly 90% of Aron's population was involved in the cleanup effort.
By this point, the Aron organization called itself the Federations of Aron and now considered itself a country. The only country left. To prevent its own collapse into smaller nations the FA split itself into 56 regions (see below for list) with their own seperate governments and elections. The FA itself had just orchestrated resource allocation and exchanges between the 56 regions called simply Central Command.
By this point the FA had focused its resource to get the Internet and global communication in its former functioning state, whilst also rationing what few resources remained to its citzens.
Soon the Internet reached a functioning state and global communication was restored. By this point most people on Aron no longer assosiated with their region and instead thought of themselves as simply Aronian. From this launching pad Aron expanded its reach to Nyx, Parvus, Sera, Poree, and later the Fate system with Maiy and Entatrius.
