Chermania

Chermania, officially the Democratic Chermanian Republic, is a large socialist democracy with a mixed economy located in northern Enequit. The modern Chermanian state emerged during the Chermanian Reunification Period following Operation Prime Meridian. Although Chermania had ceded much of its territory to the Entaran Empire during the Enequit Wars, its central government, civil service, and legal institutions remained largely intact. Consequently, the country required comparatively little political reconstruction after Entara's defeat. Recognizing that direct occupation would offer few strategic advantages while risking the alienation of a stable regional government, both the UFSL and the SSK refrained from establishing direct political control.

Following reunification, Chermania adopted a policy of armed neutrality and nonalignment, pursuing close economic cooperation without formally joining either Cold War bloc. Together with Corva, Jetsland, Columbai, and Repsen, it founded the Corier Alliance, an industrial and commercial partnership centered on free trade, infrastructure development, and advanced manufacturing. The alliance emerged as a third major economic center during the late twentieth century, balancing between the UFSL and SSK while maintaining political independence.

By 2027, Chermania had achieved an annual GDP of approximately 21 trillion dollars, while the combined economy of the Corier Alliance reached roughly 29 trillion dollars. As one of the few economic groupings capable of competing with the UFSL, the alliance became a central pillar of the global economy prior to the 2112 Collapse, with its financial integration and industrial interconnectedness also contributing to the severity of the subsequent worldwide economic crisis.
