T'hur
T’hur is a monotheistic religion based on the teachings of a mysterious figure named “Sahir” that has spread mainly via word of mouth. The stories consist of Sahir being a beacon, a hope for the common man and someone who would risk danger to help others. These stories do not speak of Sahir as an all -powerful being, outside of when Sahir rises from being dead after sixty days.
While T’hur is a common religion among those struggling and in need of support, it largely doesn’t have many cultural differences even with it only being heard from word of mouth. This is because Sahir is described to have a tall brownish figure and is always supporting others, so any alteration would be quickly noticed and ignored for not being a true story.
The religion began long ago, but because of the nature of not having written texts the exact date has been lost to time. However, reports say it likely existed for at least a few thousand years.
While many of these stories may vary, there is one in particular that almost everyone has heard of to some degree. This is the story of how Sahir died while trying to prevent island locals from destroying the nearby forest ecosystem. While many nonbelievers find this cause pointless, the reason why Sahir felt the need to do this is because it would lead to extinction in animals that would eliminate survival on the island. Therefore, while the cause might seem pointless at first, it was to help save the very people that Sahir had to fight against.
The church of the T'hur's
Based on our current understanding, their was only one church of T'hur, named Per'hur. The name Per'hur originates from the Julian word "Per" meaning by the means of, and "Hur" being the ending of T'hur. Meaning, Per'hur stands for "by the means of Sahir".
This was the main meeting ground for the T'hur
